I thought it would be better for our landlord more than us.

| Yes it's a massive shame for Sheffield to be forced to move out if their City. On the subject of who gets the rent, who knows. We've agreed a rent with 88m to use the ground, so would the extra rent go to them or or us. I'd have thought it was us but could be completely wrong. I also wonder how it all came about.

| All down to the terms of the deal I guess.
Who knows in 2018 we could have Sheffield playing in Wakefield and Wakefield playing in Dewsbury. Even more bizarre if we have a bad season next year Trinity could be the away team at Belle Vue when the two teams meet!

| I wonder if Wakefield season ticket holders will get a discounted entry to the games? It makes sense to let ST holders in for the games as the ground has to be opened anyway so they might as well get some more people stood on the terraces

| Yes how strange to choose B V.
Must have been better options and doesn't fit with all the rantings about the state of the place.
The ground has very little to do with the amount of people who will turn up. Go half a season with home wins and the gates will almost double.

Doncaster would be the obvious choice.
I suspect we are cheap, close to Sheffield and a lot of the eagles fan base originally came from disgruntled Trinity supporters so there is some logic.

Have they gone back to part time.

They must have been ready to top themselves never mind disgruntled to go and watch them.

They have seen them win a CCup which is more than most of us have ever managed. Good club until it was sacrificed to save Hudds.

Different scenario to be fair. You have to admire anyone with the conviction and pioneering spirit to start a new club from scratch in round ball territory - I admit it's also an extreme form of a strop.

| Sheffield is such a good city for sport. I know RL isn't going to be top dog but I thought it would have done better than it has.

| It's a 40 minute drive up the M1 and it's a shame for RL in S.Yorks and N.Derbyshire that the Eagles couldn't ground share at Chesterfield FC who are struggling financially but have a fairly new 10,000 seater stadium with the North Derbyshire Chargers ARL club based nearby at Staveley. Chesterfield is only 15minute drive down A61 from Sheffield.

You'd have thought so after Rotherham used Don Valley for a while.

| It does seem crazy that they couldn't find something closer. They've got two grounds in the City and as mentioned above a few other options closer than us. By the sounds of things it will have come to some being a no goer, like the ones in the City and the others probably being too expensive.

They were doing fine until the RFL sold them down the river to save Hudds. I'd have thought that was basic RL knowledge I mean people on here still refer to Hudds as shudds.

Thats an easy comment to make, but I think the club had problems that were masked by that deal. Who knows what the current club would look like, if there would even be one, if that deal hadn't gone through. I'm sure other options were available, but the nett result was that the debt was covered by the RFL funding - which we all know was destined for us when it was conceived!
