Although he finished the season strongly, Agar seemed to think that Mario was lazy at times, hence his loan to Fev earlier in the season.

We all want to see Walshaw Annakin and the other young lads develop and get to the point where they become the first names on the team sheet (after Kirmo)

We only get to see the players for 80 minutes each week, the coach sees them almost every day and the coming season will tell us plenty about Agars ability to judge players and coach the team.

When Ben was a bit younger he was the best leg tackler I have seen for quite a while , obviously as the game doesn’t require leg tackling any longer he doesn’t show it anymore , the worrying thing with Ben is where will he get game time this coming season. Time such as wrenthorpe cat got rid of his starry eyed view of danny kirmond, I'll agree last year he had a great season, but he's got to maintain it this year,he's plenty of bottle but don't think he's got the skill levels to be put on a pedestal ,and I'm sorry in my humble opinion despite his all round work rate international quality he is not

I agree he is no SBW but Critics probably would have said that (I.e. Not international quality) about Ferres a couple of seasons ago when he played for Cas but now look at him having played in the World Cup Semi Final aswell as in a top SL team like Huddersfield who have the likes of Brough to enable others to excel.

So all Wrenthorpe has implied, not even said, is that he would pick Kirmond first.

Why pick that out? He doesn't have to be international quality to be our best.

And to be honest he doesn't even have to be the best player to be picked first.

As for Shulver I haven't seen him play but I'd like to see him do well, just because Agar thinks he's worth it and would be good for our future.

Agreed, best player or not he's certainly the most influential for Trinity. He leads by example, is tough and gives his absolute all. He's had two good seasons and was not too shaby in his loan spell at the club.

Can't believe it,having a pop at Kirmo who could be playing else where for a lot more money but showed loyalty to stay at Wakey.What next.

To be honest BLM it's only a couple of idiots on here that try and wind people up rather than contributing to a decent debate.



Kirmo may not be the flashiest of players but he put his body on the line every game last season and improved his game to another level. Was it against Salford when he ran back chasing one of their players and just missed out on smashing him behind the line?
