Thats a new one on me. Is is contract up for re-newal ? I could see it happening with DP's Rhino's connection. With Chase going to Salford we might be looking at Dorn/Smith as a H/B pairing next year. Not the Smith I would be looking at though.

I assume the 200k is the bill that prompted the WUO? Hopefully, that's the one that Mr Glover was referring to in his statement, that the club were intending to settle.

Is L.Smith off to cas or not from what you know?

L.Smith is a good utility player and kicker, however if he left I think he can be replaced.

I think it's a question of trying to balance the books, so it maybe a case of smith wanting more than we can afford to pay. Whilst Ali has been a good player for us , I also think him retiring at the end of the season (if he does) would also help us out in saving a wad of cash. If we could only get someone to take mellars then we would be a long way in the right direction cash wise
