With AG stating he will go to full salary cap or as near as damn to it can we please stop recruiting poor overseas players. Been following trin many years now and by god seen some poor overseas players down at belle vue. Dont get me wrong been some good uns as well but with new era and AG arrival i do hope we get the overseas recruitment right this time

I agree with both of these posts. We need to get rid of the likes of Tadulala, Smith, Tony, Korkidas, etc and start signing quality overseas stars (like Solomona, Betham, Tronc, etc). If we sign Witt, O'Hara, Withers and Chan then I would be impressed! I'd also like Ah Van to join, and maybe someone like Lauaki to add some fire up front. These may not be big name overseas signings but they are realistic for us atm, and they are much better than Smith and co.

I agree with most of that apart from getting rid of Korki and signing Lauaki?

Personally, Im a fan of Korki, but he's apparently signed for Quins aswell, so we do need to replace him...

Fair enough, but we need to sign the likes of Andy Coley or Garreth Carvell; Lauaki would just give opposition possesion

a bit harsh on korki, he has been a consistent performer for how many years now? and always served this club very well.



imo some of the props above would offer little more and command bigger salaries.



the likes of amor,johnson,howarth should be our first priority signings and on as long a contract as we can.

korki loves our club and wanted to be here, unlike our coach.

With rumours of players already signed for other clubs,assuming we've not given other clubs permission to talk to them,wouldn't that be classed as tapping up?

The main thing is to spend wisely and not like a pools winner.

The key to success is quality and now that we can offer some security to any players that we are trying to sign.

We need to keep away from the group of players that only have 1 or 2 seasons left in them (with the exception of Glen Morrison, who has been tremendous for us)
