Having got shot down last week about a possible protest, surely SWAG the time is now for 300 + wakey fans to pay a visit to the council officers and try and find Mr BOX and tell him what we really think? Everyone in our Wakey shirts this guy may destroy our club being a Cas fan etc. Why should we let him hes had enough chances to secure our history and future and the guy is still pi$$ing around putting a spanner in the works. Come on lads the time must be now to show some FIGHT !!! LEIGH managed to get a ground a little place like that half the history of us.
THE WAKEFIELD WALK OF FAME HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE FAMOUS WILL BE THERE FROM WAKEFIELD? THE ANSWER IS JAYNE MACDONALD AND THE REST EX RUGBY PLAYERS WHO PLAYED FOR US AND RUGBY PLAYERS FROM WAKEFIELD. ALL WILL LOOK NICE AND THEY WILL SEE IT BUT YET THAT IDIOT WILL NOT SECURE OUR FUTURE AND MAY LET US DOWN AGAIN !!!! HYPOCRIT !!!

Seriously now. Where would any form of anti WMDC/Box protest further the case for NM. The planning proccess is taking it's due course (it took 10 Months for Waystone to get outline planning permission for goodness sake!). If any one has any evidence of any sort of malpractice go to the ombudsman.
Just to clarify my position I would love both teams to have their own stadium, but if not then a share at GH is the only option at this moment in time, (which is fast running out before applications for SL are in January) After that who knows?

I have some sympathy for what you say, but as last time i think guidance is needed as to whether the time is right
I dont agree we should go out like a damp squib without putting up a protest of some sorts
but maybe others closer to the action are still confident of a good outcome and if so we have all been bashing each other and Mr cardboard container for nothing for the last few days
i would hope someone from swag would come on this topic and give guidance
and i wish cas supporters would go back to their own board to extol the virtues of us moving to GH because they are convincing no one on here

Its the fans that are ruining the club... Iv never known anything like it. From the start of the season negativity has been the mood of a lot of fans. The players have nothing to play for if the fans don't get behind them. I also don't agree that at this moment in time a protest is what is needed. It can quite easily put us further out of the councils favor.

Suggest emailing Peter Box, leader, and Denise Jeffery, deputy leader and letting them how you feel, at the end of the day they represent you and need to know your views. It is them who control the cabinet, who decide who gets the posts on the planning committee. It is them who decide to delay the Newmarket planning decision, it is them who agreed to loan both Cas RLFC and The Wakefield Community Trust land to borrow money against and are now threatening to withdraw this unless one party or the other decides to share ( Express this week ). It is them who hold our destiny in their hands, it is them who are saying only one stadium when the district has had 3 stadiums for over a 100 years. It is them who can allow new jobs to be created by granting planning at Newmarket and allow the Community trust and developer to provide much needed first class leisure and sport facilities. It is Box and Jeffery who are advocating the spending of tens of thousands of rate payers pounds on a pointless revue of the Glasshoughton and Newmarket site.
