| I have only managed to get to two games this season. The first away game and the first home game.
Since then i have hurt my back which resulted in me not being able to stand for more than 10 mins.
I am now much better and was really looking forward to getting back down.
I have not been happy with the DR scheme at all as i firmly believe it has a detrimental effect on the leagues below SL.
I now see that Lee Briers is going to be playing for Swinton on Thur night.
I really dont see any future in the game of rugby league below SL. With no P/R the game is dying.

| Two weeks ago Tyrone McCarthy played for Warrington against us, last week he played for Swinton against Barrow and next Sunday he could play for Castleford against Hull KR - beam me up Scotty, this Rugby League planet is silly!

I think a lot of people including myself have asked the same question. Our board and boards across the Championship need to take these hard facts to the RFL and end this madness.

| £9.99 per month = 1 live championship game per week
8 live NRL games per week
also 3 x State of origin, City v Country, All NRL playoffs and Final, Australia V New Zealand, All the Championship play offs and Final, Northern Rail Finals , plus all the 2013 Rugby league World Cup.
£28 ( assuming 2 home games) per month = 2 poor games and nothing to play for.
Perhaps there may be a clue there?

There is simply no comparison between watching a game on TV and watching it live.
Before I first came to a game at Cougars I had watched RL on TV and although I enjoyed it, it did not make me want to go to a game.
That all changed after my first live game - the action is so much more personal and exciting and the interaction with the rest of the crowd makes it a much more social event.
PS I thought you weren't going to post again

| If I had time and money I would travel to watch more rugby league at one of my more local clubs as well as watching Keighley. I watch some games on premier sports but it doesn't compare to being there live.... plus as much as I appreciate the quality of NRL I'd much rather watch a couple of local amateur teams battling things out on a muddy pitch and support my local community.

Swinton got over 1,000 yesterday as they had a £5 offer on and Lee Briers playing!. I don't think we can say without further information that the low attendances are just down to the dual reg debacle. The continued austerity and, for our team specifically, a loss of high profile players will explain some of the attrition.
It just shows what a bit of innovation will do in terms of swelling the attendances. I get the impression that our board have budgeted for x amount of £15 entry fees and will not budge on that price. I'd be interested to see if we get any increase when Bradford City have finished their season?
