No surprises there. Not only did we lose Farrell, Radlinski, Lam, O'Connor, Pongia, Smith & Cassidy on the field, we lost them as club figureheads too.



Andy Farrell ran the show at Wigan. All the players looked up to him and he was an enforcer of type in the dressing room. When he left, a few 'players' became disruptive with what they did within the club and out of the club and dragged a few of the more easily led players with them.

Also Mike Gregory.

To save me looking on Bilko's site, was Dennis Moran around when Mike Gregory was?

He was signed when Mike was in his last year when Betts was running the team and Mike was not well

I remember Betts shouting to Moran from the touch line when we played UTC in the CC can not repeat on here what he said but he was not happy with the way he was playing

I think when Faz was around all the players had a mixture of respect and fear of him, which make him the perfect leader. I think that has been missed since he's left(not having a pop at Lockers) also with the loss of them senior players all within a year or two would have added to the downfall.

We lost to many players and coaching staff in to short a time

And they are just the ones off the top of my head. Oh and for all the ones who want Lam as coach he was the one that recommended we get Moran.

Lazy b*tch. Errr it's arguable whether Gregory was still pulling the strings during Betts' temporary control but it was in that spell that he signed in 2005.
