The gulf between full time professionals and part time semi professional RL players was frightening. Leigh players no matter what their size and no matter what the size of the Wigan players could not make any ground in contact nor prevent Wigan players from making ground. Several players looked totally out of condition and several have regressed as players. McNally is now a pale shadow of the youngster who came into pro RL. The only player anywhere near resembling a SL player was Brierley and he has lost some of what he had in terms of inventiveness.



Leigh desparately need D/C quality SL youngsters. Spencer has done well for you but Greenwood tonight looked better than anything Leigh had too. Outside backs, Leigh need some speed and flair.

Leigh play in a PART TIME LEAGUE with PART TIME PLAYERS, every other club is PART TIME.



Wigan play in a FULL TIME LEAGUE with FULL TIME PLAYERS, every other club is FULL TIME.



We do not need your players but say we did what you wanted and sold our soul for a handful of unproven Wigan 'starlets' , tonight would have seen us fielding less experienced players as they wouldn't be allowed to play.



May I respectfully suggest you stick to worrying about why the DW Trophy Cabinet marked 'SL Champions' has a lot of dust building up around it and leave us to worry how our club will get to what is required in our league.

Leigh were awful tonight. Yes they are part time and yes the League is part time but as last week showed the garbage Leigh put up is not even good enough v the leading 'professionals in a part time League. To talk about that Leigh team tonight in the same breadth as Sheffield, Featherston and Halifax is an insult to those teams.



The Leigh team tonight were an insult to some great Leigh teams of the past and we do not have to go back to 1981 and beyond. Even in 2002, Leight had class players and quality across their team. Many of the Leigh players tonight did not even look conditioned for amateur RL.



Unlike you Jenky. I am happy with my own club BUT far more conserned about the bigger picture of RL in general. Insularity and ignoring what is staring you in the face appears to be your remit sadly.

He came back on also. It was his debut and was he not better than anybody playing prop for Leigh tonight. Did he win the collision, make the hard yards, make tackles. Forget you are a Leigh fan and look at your players honestly.

IMO very few SL fringe /reserve team players who come on DR in the Championship make any impact as the step up in class is beyond them ........ A bit like us tonight .

I'm sure as your worried about RL in general you'll agree that for Sam Tomkins to ever fulfil his true potential he must move with haste to Australia as stagnating in SL playing one sided games each week is a waste of such a talent, in fact I think Charnley should do the same.
