| Can anyone explain the difference between the no try awarded against Clark tonight and the try awarded to Roby against Wire at the HJ earlier this season?

| Yes Roby knocked on and Clark had the ball slapped out. Two of penny's were fine along with Clark's, atkins knocked on. Video refs need to go.

| Yep, as above Roby knocked on, or at least unintentionally had it dislodged in the tackle because as we all know, a leg cannot strip a ball, a hand can though, like tonight.

| Have we upset the video ref union somehow as I don't think it's wire bias to think we've been really hard done to in the last couple of months with video decisions...really hard.

| Had some tough calls just against Saints this year by the video ref. The Roby on as mentioned, and the Harrison 'pass off the ground' at Magic, which a similar incident in the semi final was judged differently.
I don't believe that he officials are biased, just wholly incompetent. The 'interpretation' of rules is too wide a scope to enforce effectively.
Overhaul the process, refs give a decision, and the captains get a review per game to challenge it. Keeps the game rolling too

| They don't apply any common sense or logic at times as when players are chasing a bouncing rugby ball, hands and arms are all over the place, in the case of Atkins the ball bounced and changed direction in favour of Atkins with the defender continuing in a forward motion, his extended arm looked more like a natural balancing act, okay his fingers/palm just touched the defender but in a contact sport to me that was not a push but I'm not a video ref.

The Roby one at the HJ was given due to the ball coming out because of foul play. You are not allowed to attack the ball carrier with your legs to prevent a try. Whether you agree with that or not, that's what they ruled. If they had decided he dropped it, it would have been given as a penalty try. They mentioned this on the commentary at the time, the video ref was never looking for no try, just whether it was try, penalty try or 8 point try. I'd have given penalty try to make it clear.
The Harrison pass off the ground was another correct decision, like all those last night were. You can ignore that because it led to a beautiful outcome. That was another example of the match officials seeing what happened and letting it go upstairs just in case they were wrong.

| After the fourth dis-allowed try (I think). Phil Clark said 'how unlucky have the Wolves been this year'. For him to come out with that, when he hates us, says a hell of a lot if you ask me!
