Has anybody heard anything about Paul McShane heading your way?



It was mentioned at Headingley on Friday night. He's had very limited game time and appers under valued McDonut, Tony Smith was a big fan of his as he came though the ranks. If true it will be a good signing for you.

I always liked him in Lovejoy, and thought he was excellent in Deadwood. Quality signing, should get bums on seats.

Getting on a bit now though. Still, he would fit in with some of our older players.

Big improvement over Higham/Clarke.

Seriously, to sign McShane we would have to lose both Clarke and Higham, and Mick has at least 1 year on his contract. I really don't think he's worth going for, he wouldn't add anything to what we've got already.

Maybe as a replacement for Clarke if the price is right and theres nothing in the academy that looks to be ready in a year or two....

No he's should be in the England squad, and he's better than Monas and Roby..... Honest

If we're after a new hooker I don't know why we don't trey and buy Lincoln Withers from Crusaders, superb player who hasn't been snapped up yet! If we sign Withers or McShane personally I would sell Higham and keep Clarke as a hooker/second-row utility...

I'm fairly sure Withers is going to Hull KR and will replace Fisher.



McShane's a good player, but coming here he would still be second choice so I don't see what the value is for him. He's certainly a talent and deserves better than having to wait behind the ineffectual Buderus.
