But I've seen fast players hyped before only to fall flat. Misli Manu and Nicky Royle at Widnes for example.

If and only if, he flourishes. Why play League? He can earn so much more as a top sprinter? Non-story. In the mid 90s the Roosters signed a couple of lightning fast NFL players. None made first grade. Move on. |

I know the Newcastle Knights signed an NFL player Greg Smith who claimed he had rugby league experience and he embarrassed him self on the field before getting quickly subbed, I'm amazed he actually got a game surely they would have known he had no rugby skills during training. I've not heard of any other NFL players in rugby league though. |

He wasn't an NFL player. He made that up too  Nobody in America has actually heard of Greg Smith!
The closest there has been was Manfred Moore with the Newton Jets and by most accounts he wasn't that much out of his element and might have had a chance if he stuck with it |
