| They should now be acted upon via the video ref, as the ref and his touch judges don't understand this very simple to understand rule.

| I noted McRae said they could go to the video ref for Hoffman's try because it could be interpreted as a knock on - if that went forwards or backwards off Richards, so why not for a forward pass?

| The physics argument holds true (because it obviously true), and the 'viewing angle' argument is just as true. However i cant believe the RFL couldnt approach someone like hawkeye to come up with a system. The LBW referral system is much more complex than the forward pass rule.

If the ball bounces and is collected by the same player it's far easier to tell what path it took and in which direction it travelled.
As has been demonstrated on sky many, many times - different camera angles can make a legal pass look forward and vice versa. That is why video refs can't judge them reliably and consistently (not that referees and touch judges can either, mind!)

So really, Eddie and Stevo should stop judging them too?

Hawkeye is not infallible. Having an oddly shaped ball often being obscured by the 27 men running on a very large pitch would make the placing of many high speed cameras rather impractical.

Im not proposing Hawkeye, im saying Hawkeye as a system, which whilst not infallible is less fallible than the human eye, can judge a much more complex rule such as LBW then there should be no problem with a system which can judge forward passes.

| They could easily do forward passes on Sky. They can attach parrallel lines to pitches and this makes camera angles irrelevant.
But my suggestion is still the best. When the ball is thrown forwards it explodes killing the player that receives it. They won't do it again.
