Unless you are actually born in PNG it escapes me as to why you would want one anyway.
In fact I can't see why anyone would wear a national shirt from any other country other than the one they were born in.
Apart from those 'Welsh' (and I do use that word very loosely) players that beat the 'French/Kiwi legion etranger' yesterday.
In fact I would like to see it made ILLEGAL for any supporter other than a national of the relevant country to wear that nations jersey. It's like earning your jump wings as an Army paratrooper... unless you are qualified to wear them you cant. Same should be enforced with national RL jerseys.

I suppose if you are dual nationality then its ok. Clearly you would have to carry some naturalisation papers or a valid passport from the relevant country to prove it.

I've thought about this.
It should be country of your birth. I've been caught out a few times in the UK. I've seen blokes (and women) wearing the Green & Gold Australia jersey... and when I've asked them what part of Australia they come from I'm usually met with them nervously shuffling their feet whilst looking at the ground at which point they mumble 'got it off ebay' |
