I have just been reading this thread ([url=http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/showthread.php?t=358191forums.leagueunlimited.com/showthread.php?t=358191[/url) on another forum where our aussie friends are complaining about the NRL ripping fans of for the price of merchandise but do you think the same happens over here.



I know my shirt cost me £40 this year which is a lot but if you have a family you will be looking around £140 quid which is a hell of a lot especially at the moment.



Do any clubs run any special promotions for members/season ticket holders etc.

I know Hull give a £10 disount voucher on merchandise with season passes. It's not much but better than nowt. Anyway no one forces you to buy a shirt. It's like any luxury purchase, if you can afford it then buy it, if not then tough.

If you feel you're being ripped off don't buy a shirt.

RL is the best sport in the world and it is cheaper than all it's main rivals. Great value. You pay so much for shirts because of the companies who make them.

Anyone who says RL is a rip off is really daft.



A Man United season ticket is over £700+ and on top of that you are expected to buy all the FA cup, league cup and Champions league tickets for £40+.

I think we are really lucky that our sport is so cheap to watch, especially for the family. The shirts are the same price as football shirts but are betterv quality in most cases, also i think that the older shirts look better in league, so normally a fan will buy a shirt and keep it for a few years. I always look on ebay for international shirts or old Leigh tops rather than buy the newer ones anyway.

I dont like the material used in RL shirts.

It's better quality but it doesnt half make people sweat and stink in summer.

I actually think the players jerseys are much better value for what you get

Thought Wigan were the cheapest in SL with £16 & nice Pies as well

I wouldnt say its the game more like the country its the same for soccer shirts etc etc.

Standing on an open away end on a cold, windy, wet night for £20 is daylight robbery.



Changing playing kit yearly is just taking the biscuit.

When the season is finished, for so long you can get a discounted season ticket's with a free away shirt at Salford.
