He get's a lot of flak on here and deservedly so most of the time, but credit where credits due, that performance was centre play at the very best today. The lines he was running today were brilliant and he didnt let anyone down in defence. Well done Sykes

Great effort from Sykes today. He was absolutely everywhere in defence and took his tries well. Consistency is what he needs to work on, because when he is good he is very good.

I reckon Sykes benefited from a big confidence surge that gradually seemed to spread through the team as we remorselessly got on top and kept Shudds under the cosh. He played as if he was enjoying it, which I can't remember much of before. As many others, he was at the top of his game today.

He was very good today. Most of the team were finally showing what they are capable of.

I've bagged Sykes a plenty but he was excellent today. Really pleased for the lad.

Typified by tenaciously clinging onto one of their guys in a ball and all tackle - the game was won, only a few minutes remained, but he made sure to complete the tackle by sheer 100% effort
