Wane has completely discredited himself as an international coach with his comments on the omission of Jake Connor, siting lack of consistency and a lower than his outstanding best v saints. What's his rationale for picking Trout and McDonnell (who were average last weekend) amongst others then?

I'm OK with leeds players not being picked less chance of injury and will also get a full pre season.  Let's get our team sorted and then worry about our players not not being picked.

Inspiring 

Wane's ignoring Connor is nothing new. 
Wasn't the feeling that it was as much to do about his off field performance as much as on field?


Obviously he is in form and playing well at the moment when Williams clearly isn't. Playing the Aussies another matter altogether. Whilst he is fast between the ears he must be the slowest 6 in Super League. Whilst he can get away with it in SL he most certainly won't in an International. 


Connor's other "attribute" of winding players up sometimes works in SL, in an Ashes series it won't. With his dodgy temperament and an Aussie ref the outcome of a spat between Jake and an Aussie player would be disastrous for him and the team.  


Waney will go with Williams, Lewis & Smith as his half backs and may use Lewis off the bench at 9. Connor may get in if there's an injury to any of those three but otherwise I think he'll miss out. 

If a key attribute for international RL is temperament then there's no way Lewis will be anywhere near an Ashes squad, right?
