How the mighty have fallen





Things were so much simpler in the days where we won the Cup and you won the Grand Final every year.

There's 2 divisions in SL this season.



Division 1 consists of those clubs who are genuine contenders for silverware.



Division 2 consists of the rubbish... the also-rans.



Saints are still a Division 1 side along with Warrington, Wigan and Huddersfield.



Leeds OTOH are increasingly exhibiting evidence they belong in Division 2.

Why don't you do a new league table then?

Its sad but true. No chance of top 4 on the performances v those sides. Battered by wire twice, battered by huddersfield at home, chucked it away v wigan and faded after an hour v saints. for the leeds rhinos, that isnt good enough. all four played at home too.

Some demarcation which is indicative of Leeds decline in relation to the SL contenders you mean? Like this perhaps?

Yer can tell how far theyve fallen, Hull fans happy with the CC draw - wanting to avoid one of the top sides.

While I agree there is still plenty of time, brian mac does not look to have anything under control!

Leeds fall from competitive grace has been apparent for a while, provided one is prepared not to attach way too much significance to injuries as an excuse to fall back on. Leeds have been on the slide for several seasons including those where they were crowned SL champions. I stuck the proverbial final fork in this Leeds squad as done and finished after the CC Final tonking last August.



It is no coincidence that I've purposely maintained a SL Table (including only the genuine SL competition) as my signature all season, if only to highlight Leeds lack of credentials against those teams who can now justifiably be considered superior.



Normally, a run of six straight victories against SL opposition would have arch-believists predicting further success. Deep down, even they know those six straight victories were insignificant hollow victories by a poorly-performing, past-it's sell-by-date team against substandard, p[ii[/isspoor SL opposition... six victories on the bounce sandwiched in between the more significant hammerings of 6-38 and 6-42 at home to two of the genuine competitors in SL this year.
