Seriously Fax fans....What is the point of having one DR player in our squad tomorrow? We're on a good run in't league and cup, yet we change the team week in, week out. Thoughts?

You know my thoughts on the system.

The irony of having the pizz taken for using the system makes me chuckle, particularly when fax are using it themselves.

However, leaving my polite little dig aside for a mo.... changing the team can work. It works for Fev at the mo. Gives our players chance of a rest whilst burning up Leeds players leaving those players vulnerable to injury whilst keeping ours ok for the business end.

There's a lot at stake now as well you know. Those are the positives of the system. Would I get rid? .... in a flash I would but unless all teams sign up to it that won't happen.

Fev are using it much better than fax are at the mo.. and it's getting results. The morality of the decision goes out of the window when there's afe a million on the table.

All true Robin especially the bit about Fev using it more advantageously than Fax. I haven't seen Lannon play but from speaking to folk who have he makes little to no impact on our play. Which brings me back to what's the point?

Apparently Bulls to DR with Widnes. Looks like nobody likes DR but as everyone's doing it then we'd be daft not to. Are the players we getting better than what we have? Who knows but it does allow us to rest players, perhaps one of our lads has a niggly injury and would normally have been pushed out to play, we can now possibly rest him.



We've lost Luke Ambler off our roster so do we look to replace him or instead get a DR in and save the club some money? I think we all know the answer to that.

He's played really well in all but one of our games.

It's not going to go away is it Norm? Missing out on the big finance last year I'm surprised fax haven't utilised it a bit more than they have. It's a results based job and I suppose Sharpy Marshall et al have to pick a side they think will do a job. They will stand or fall by their choices.

If it came to a straight choice.... top 4 with or miss out without I'd opt for the former.... thru gritted teeth. There's too much at stake now to allow ourselves the luxury of morality over this issue.

Very true, we'd All like our clubs to be self sufficient but the sign of times is that we aren't.

I suppose a judgement on the efficacy of dual reg is best saved for the end of the regular season.

Leaving the emotional reasons for using it aside, I'm not seeing evidence that regularly including DR players in the side is in detriment to the club.

What about teams turning up with less than 17 players on a regular basis towards the end of the season when the DR regs tighten up ?
