| Having been at tonight's game. I also feel that Atkins showed more than enough promise to be ahead of Marsh in the hb role. I just feel that the few times I've seen Atkins he is just a better player.
Marsh I've always considered would be better in the centres or as a ball playing LF. Where the pressure is off and he can concentrate on his own game more.
I've never thought he's the one to control/build your team around. But he could be good enough in those roles.
I would send him to York on duel-reg if he's not in our 19. He needs games as he's always struck me as a confidence player, and you only get that through playing.
The game is about opinions, especially as fans. Personally I'd much rather have Moss then Quinlin.
Trouble Marsh has is that he's just not good enough to change alot of opinions on him especially because of where he plays.
I do wonder if some of it with regards Marsh is because he came through the Rovers system. And we've let go/lost alot of players, that because he's still here we expect more from him.
He may come good, but apart from a few games I've seen him in, I have my doubts.

| Maguire out this week, dagger dropped so the off half position go will no doubt go to matty marsh.I have faith in tim sheens, but if marsh is the 2nd best option to maguire the qualifiers beckon at this early stage.Surely moss, quinlan, dagger would be worth a go,we are already aware of what matty is capable of.

I'd put Quinlin there we've got plenty of cover at full back with Dagger and Moss

Agree 100% mate, atkin paired with moss, quilan or dagger would bring a bit of pace.We can wish all we want, but marsh basically is championship standard at best.

| Big onus on the pack to roll over Salford's forwards.Says something when as a fan im not worried about the relative novice Atkin but the doubt is over Marsh? Given decent platform he has the chance to show us what he can do and just hope he does the basics well and grows into the game? Not convinced Sheens will play him but if he does then good luck to the lad

Why would you put Moss in the halves? He isn't a half back. He is a winger/fullback. He doesn't have the passing game of a Quinlan or Dagger.

| Bobby or Quinlan in the half’s I think would be the option but this is why we need another good quality half in the squad Better players fighting for places

Moss would be my choice at full back, one of the others to the halves.

| I’d like to see how moss at full back Quinlan in the half’s works Quinlan is solid under the high ball but he’s kick Returns ant that cleaver may be he’s scared to get injured as he always looks to pass as well rather then taking the line on

| Personally I really don't see where the calls for Moss at FB are coming from. He is a capable backup but nothing more for me. Quinlan looks dangerous and sharp this year. Yes he is smaller in stature so why wouldn't you use your wingers to return the ball and play to the collective strengths of the team? i.e. Carney likely to get a quick play of the ball for Quinlan to then take advantage. It's not like Moss has much more size or strength to be a more effective returner of a kick and he doesn't really have a passing game. In the London friendly I thought the scoots from Moss were pretty terrible and made no yards whatsoever.
