That's your take on it, mine is that he wasn't up to S/L standard so went to the championship as many do, but he was to good for that level and eventually someone took a gamble on him.

You do realise he played SL with Leigh aged 16, went down with them in 2005 and stayed there until he went to Wire last year don't you? Just checking.

Yes but if he was that good back then why did it take teams this long to come knocking?

They were knocking for years.



Financially, the offers that were made to him in this time weren't worth it. As well as playing for Leigh, he had a 'normal' job, I believe, and leaving for SL wouldn't have made sense financially for him.



Warrington took a gamble, offered a little more than previous offers - the rest is history. Fair play to them.

Given the lack of quality in S/L I'm pretty sure if there was a top quality player in the championship then some team would have made him a worthwhile offer, apparently not.

It depends on the players circumstances as to what's worthwhile or not though, doesn't it.

Someone said he could be at the same level as Chris Hill, I asked how long it took Chris Hill to get to that level, hence the start of a debate between Sir Stan and I. (which you've jumped in on)

You'd probably be in a better position to 'debate' if you were atleast aware of the facts surrounding Chris Hill & his move to Warrington, instead of simply assuming that because he wasn't in SL earlier that he wasn't good enough at the time.

enough but his form has improved greatly over the last couple of seasons and teams started to take notice.

I don't know Chris Hill personally so obviously I can only assume all of this
