At least the 20s put up a great display against their 'conveyor belt' of talent. Came back from 30-0 to draw 30-30 after nilling them in the 2nd half. Wouldn't do any worse than playing some of these kids instead of the 1st teamers, would probably do them good and give a kick up the back side some of them obviously need.

Well, that was a pleasant night out on Merseyside.



Positives to take? Erm...



The nice stewards didn't wang me out for having a cheeky fag round the back.

The chance to visit some proper RL toilets, although my slashing against corrugated iron technique was rather rusty since my last visit to Hilton Park and I think my Campers suffered a bit of splash back.

Doing a second take as I saw the team stood on the hard shoulder of the M62 and then wondering how many of them you can get in a Golf.

One good thing you can take from a drubbing is the chance to watch quality players do their thing and not be that fussed because the games gone. Eastmond was terrific at times tonight and I'm not ashamed to say I applauded his try.



Oh, and that pub near the grounds quite a nice spot, real ale and little kids playing TGG on the old bowling green.
