This thread is testiment to the complete over reaction to what was an ordinary win against a Leeds team missing 6 first choice forwards. Even on the night things could have been so different had Hall got the ball down properly (twice) and the McGuire 'try' had been given. Yes the result was great and a league double over Leeds can never be sniffed at, but when you scratch the surface its not that diffficult to pick holes in.
Headlines like [url=http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/hullkr/HULL-KR-Morgan-believes-Robins-beat/article-2400899-detail/article.html[uthis[/u[/url just make you look stupid especially when you get soundly beaten next time out.

I agree. There's been too much 'talking up' by Rovers this year, and we've nearly always ended up with egg on our faces. I didn't appreciate the stupid hair do's either. Perhaps if the players are that desperate for attention they should do their talking on the pitch.
Having said that, I wouldn't say we were soundly beaten, but its perhaps more disappointing that we could (and probably should) have won both games against Hull this year. |

Hall's first miss was a really big moment and I agree with you about that. Similarly Calderwood should have put Hull in a very commanding position last night, so I don't want to stick my head in the sand. Over the course the season these things tend to even up - very few on us were judging form solely on round 21. |

Both Buderus and Eastwood played agaist Saints and Wire and whilst the Wire result was decent Saints lost both half backs during the game and onlt went down by 4 points.
Fact is Leeds have not defended well all season and with Rovers pack at full strength and Leeds pack missing 6 including both first choice hookers it was a game Rovers shouldn't be losing. Something i pointed out pre match |
