I'm a big fan of Galea; he had a superb start to the season but has faded badly over the last couple of months in my opinion. I would personally have chosen Steve Menzies in his place.



Fox, Dobson and Newton all deserve their places though. Briscoe would also have been in there at fullback had it not been for a Man of Steel season from Brett Hodgson.

Briscoe is very solid defensively - but Hodgson being dodgy under the high ball?! I think I've seen him miss about 3 all season, and even then recovered afterwards. I'd be surprised if he wasn't the best full back under a bomb in SL. His positional play is second to none.

Dobson of course picked up the Goldthorpe Medal this season - as featured in Rugby League Express , along with a cheque for £2000.

The 3 must have all been on the tv then, can'think it may have been the fc game early on this season where he had a stinker but not seeing him week in week out it was a uninformed observation. I still stand by the fact that I'd trust Briscoe defensively a bit more than hodgeson but hodgeson still fully deserved his spot in the dream team.

i think its a great achievement and something of our city to be proud of, having 4 local lads in the dream team

Very proud our club has the equal highest amount of players in the 2009 dream team. No doubt the Man of Steel will be chosen from these players.

Would love to hear Mr Kath's and Rules views on Dobson now.

He's played well. Made rovers a 1 dimensional 1 man team though. (bit like us before you releaved us of Paul Cooke)



Doesnt stop teams being succesful but does make them predictable after a while.

With four in the dream team and probably Webster, Cooke and Briscoe coming close to inclusion i can really see how you can believe its a one mean team.

Stop Dobson, stop Rovers. This is the gameplan that has allowed Cookie to grab 3 tries in this years Derby matches.
