Don't be delusional. Your gates virtually doubled overnight (6,900 in 2002 to over 11,500 the following year) when you left the Boulevard slum. You didn't win anything then.
Its interesting that in 05 & 06 when you did have some success, your gates were down on 03 & 04. Then, remarkably for some "unknown" reason, in 07 they shot up. Why is that?

Oh ok then let's play the game. This is the site you want. Have a look at the Boulevard stats.
www.rugbyleagueproject.org/venue ... evard.html
July 9th 1999 Hull V Leeds is a corker. I'm guessing it was a sunny day and 14000 of them went to Brid for the day instead.

Ok we'll take that as a comparison, so Rovers play Rochdale in the NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAY OFF and a crowd of 2420 turn up to watch.
Six years previous to this, Hull FC play Leeds Rhino's at home and attract a crowd of 3523. So now lets compare that to Rovers second season in Super League when playing Leeds and 9391 turning up to see the game.
All this proves is that new stadia, as in the KC, helps to attract new fans, but looking back on our records in Super League, with similar standard stadiums, it seems Rovers are a long way ahead.
You chose a national league play off game against Rochdale for Rovers and a Super League game with Leeds for Hull, 1103 people being the difference between the two figures. You just don't get it do you.

Nobody is doubting that the kc has helped improve our attendances.
I honestly believe that both teams being in superleague has helped improve figures for both clubs.
Yes both teams attendances have been poor in the past
and yours in the 1st few seasons have been better than our in the 1st few season.
Don't understand why you are using the leeds 99 game as an example though what has that got to do with gateshull thundersharks

| What's great to see is that both clubs are getting in alot more fans these days than when they were both top in the 80's. RL is booming in the city and that is a great thing.
