Expecting a low attendance for this one, when the ticket price for a derby is higher than its regular counterparts, the 'any kind of weather' crew use it as an excuse to stay at home, not without first having a good moan about it.

In the case of Rovers we made it clear to Hull many years ago that we wasn't prepared to play a derby with yourselves if it wasn't an even share of the gate. Do you not remember the rather public spat Neil Hudgell had when we where offered a paltry 15k to play a friendly.

Just because NH spat his dummy out, in public, it doesnt always mean he gets his own way





The friendlies at the KC in recent years have had stadium expenses taken before any split, other that Rich Horne's Benefit game. By definition this is not 50% of gate receipts.

And there was me thinking the stadium paid for itself........Not.



I also said an even share. Never did I mention 50% of gate receipts. I've always thought a shared gate meant roughly 45% each with the remaining 10% covering the costs and match day expenses of the home side.

It wouldn't surprise me if the 'split' sees the SMC getting the biggest slice.



With all of the chopping and changing you get in friendlies these days I think the Wigan game (@ £10) is a far better option than the KC.

Think the Wigan game will have a lot of interchanges. Expect the Hull game to be very close to the thoughts of Sandercocks starting 17.
