I'd say so, I imagine we still hold his playing registration (although I'm completely guessing that and no doubt someone who can be bothered to read the relevant regulations will contradict me) thus preventing him signing for anyone else. We'll also still be paying his wages.

So does this mean that Dobson won't be getting paid until Mason's visa arrives? If it drags on for a few more weeks I can't imagine Dobson being too happy about it.



I must admit it's a clever ploy by Rovers but there is potential for it to backfire. For example if a club was interested in signing him there would be nothing Rovers could do to prevent them from making an approach.
