It depends who else is in the squad, he would certainly have not played prop for Warrington when he was there, they had him on the wing, which he actually did quite well for them.



Fax played him second row sometimes, as we have, but because he's got abit of pace he's suited to both. He is the size and frame of a modern day prop though, so I can see why Betts has turned up and put him there. Doing very well at the moment.

Think Varks has made tremendous strides this year and deserves to have a SL contract if he continues to play well.

I spoke to Varks before the Leigh game ,he said he has never been happier ,he loves it at Widnes , likes playing prop ,he has played there in the past ,as you know im a Varks fan ,would love him at Leigh, but i think that is Wishful thinking ,good on yer Rich.

It certainly was. Went from been in the top 2 or 3 centres in the league playing for one of the best teams in the league to been a bit part player in an average team. Did seem a bit strange.
