I really hope this isn't true. The quota system is becoming a joke, with clubs looking for any excuse possible to circumvent the rules. Surely the spirit of the thing is to try and reduce the number of overseas players in our competition, not to induce clubs to find ever more imaginitive ways to sign more Aussies. I want to see a Hull FC team (and all SL teams, for that matter) made up largely of English talent, local where possible, complimented by 2 or 3 top class imports. |

There is an end in sight to this particular ruse as it only applies to players who were registered for SL clubs prior to 2008 - natural wastage will eventually see the intended limits come into force. |
