I do think we have some very good players , so looking at our position at the minute makes it even worst as we should be higher. And I have no confidence what's so ever in our coaching staff to improve anyone , like for instance what smith does at Warrington or looking back , what Brian smith did here years ago with average players .'"
I see what you're saying but I think it's probably worse in that the players and coaching staff are giving their all and this is as good as we are. A new coach would have some impact but can't make old players young , slow ones fast , dumb intelligent or ineffectual ones aggressive. Yet again it's recruitment that is our failing compounded by inexperienced coaching staff and a deliberate localist policy that can only work once professional foundations are laid AND has a solid , successful on field platform to work from. |

Done a very good job at Dewsbury and has earnt his chance at SL, well respected player in SL and NRL. Similar to Powell who many wanted. Still a big gamble though, but who isn't at Hull.
