| Quote UllFC="UllFC"I have a knack of remembering completely random things, and I think I've remembered why Hudgell is singling Sharp out so much.
Back when Cooke joined Rovers, he made his debut against Huddersfield live on SKY amid much fanfare, Huddersfield then spoilt the party by beating them, and in his interview with SKY Jon Sharp said he was dedicating the win to HullFC and that once you'd played for the club the feeling never leaves you etc.
Wouldn't surprise me at all if 6 years on Hudgell is still holding a grudge about it.'"
sad thing is, that actually sounds quite plausable

In fact, I would guess this to be the undoubted truth. The phrase "vocal advocate" would back that up.
Could these astounding observations regarding Sharp's background verge on defamation, as Hudgell appears to imply that Sharp is still being influenced by former allegiances? Regardless of the facts that Jon had no influence on the match and that subsequent events may have tainted his memories of his Hull days anyway, could any such reference in relation to an RFL official's background be seen as an inference of his being capable of bias, and as such beyond the pale?

| We got screwed last year and they got screwed this year.
Our club acted so much more professional last year and that makes me proud. Gentle focused more on us letting a lead slip rather then blaming the forward pass or allowing play to go on whilst Martin was injured. I have read nowhere from management at Rovers about them conceding three tries in the last ten minutes to lose a game from a 10 point lead. Its all being finger pointing at the referee rather then looking at themselves, its that type of deluded management which currently sees them outside the play offs.
Greg Eden should buy ganson a fair few pints because he has saved his blushes big time.

Dobson told the Yorkshire Post: “It doesn’t change the fact we’re not going to get those two points after we played so well and put in so much effort."
Now correct me if I'm wrong but the match was square at 16-16 at the time of Ganson's error (only thanks to a dubious penalty awarded against Ogre). Even if Dobson had gone for goal 50 or so yards out he wasn't guaranteed of getting it and we might even have scored on the last set had he missed (unlikely but possible). So where exactly were these two points that KR lost ?

I can remember the game in question. Bill Arthur was doing the post match questions and good old Sharp (former coach and player y'know Hudge !!) replied with something along the lines of ".. we've played some good teams this season and we've played Hull Kingston Rovers .." - superb !!!
Hopefully someone somewhere knows whether the clip is on YooToob.

The Crazy thing is if Rovers had being given the penalty it would have being awarded 10 yards from where Green caught the ball, so way out of kickable range. rovers would have had to drive and go for a drop to win it. Yet Sandercock didn't realise this as he was sending instructions out for Rovers to go for goal.

Would it have not been from where Houghton kicked from seeing as it was from that point that Green was offside from ?

No it is ten yards away from where he catches the ball as he technically didn't become offside till he interferred with play. Silverwood confirmed as much on twitter.

Nah mate, it's definitely 10m from wher he touched the ball.
To be fair to Dobbo, he certainly handled himself with dignity and restraint when interviewed straight after the game. Also the other players all shook hands and handled themselves well. Just a shame that wasn't shown by the coach, and later their chairman.

| anyone else concerned about Holdsworths goal kicking? hes missed some that really need to be kicked. its a game of small margins and this kinda thing can be the difference between top 4 and scraping 6th or getting to Wembley even
