Seems Elstone is having an effect on Super League, its much more sensible fixture list, with high profile games to get the attention at the start, one Easter game to get rid of dreary Easter Monday games, and fixtures on the last day at the same time. Magic back at the fans choice of ground etc heading in a better direction at last I think.'"
dont get me wrong, no problem with the club mixing up the fixtures on fri/sat/sundays/.......just slightly peeved the club never give us fans the heads up, now relying on using more holiday allowance (if allowed) than i would like just to attend the non friday home games |

That's just a cliche. We have lost a few derbys recently, but then we have lost to nearly everyone recently. On the whole, over the past 4 or 5 years, Rovers have been pretty much our easiest opponents. We have had a lot of very comfortable wins.
You never know what you are going to get on game day and we all know that things often don't go to script. They could very easily beat us. Just like we could easily beat Saints and Wigan. But the fact is they are one of the weakest sides in SL and as such, one of the easiest fixtures is playing them at home. I'm not quite sure why you always insist on mentioning things like the "Revolution." I could start claiming that I am going to knock out Anthony Joshua. It doesn't make it true.
The 2 days turnaround is a valid point but probably doesn't mean so much so early in the season as it would during July when squads are really starting to get banged up.
I don't think it will be an easy game. I don't think there will be such a thing next year. But I would rather be playing them than pretty much anyone else, put it that way. |

2 day turn around is a biggie for me...
1st game of the yr vs Leeds at theirs on a big day for it...won't be game hardened. Will take a bit more recovery than it would 4 or 5 in. Bit like a 1st big session back at the gym after time off. Ruins ya and takes days to get the aches out. Month on and the same workout hardly leaves you sore |
