According to HDM Ellis & PG are going to see a surgeon today so willl have a definate answer later. They dont want to say anything until they know for certain.

Haven't they already been to see numerous doctors/specialists?

When a club has some money and one of it's senior players gets injured they tend to seek a few expert opinions, Gentle went with Ellis yesterday to find out what the options are, I'd imagine they're discussing them to chose the right one.

I thought AP made an announcement at a meeting last week that some on here attended and said he was out for 10-12 weeks ?

Yeah, he did at the disabled meeting but nothing been mentioned officially yet. Maybe getting a second and third opinion before announcing it?

a friends husband who works for hyundi minstergate old me ellis was getting an automatic last week as he couldnt use his foot and is out for upto 12 weeks!



whilst i dont disbelieve him i'll still wait for the club to confirm

peter gentle was talking to a few of us sunday night in star inn willerby. he said that his injury isnt fully diagnosed yet but looking at the possibility of a stress fracture. he said they was waiting on last years scan results being sent from aussie and also fresh scan results. he said if it is stress fracture then 10 - 12 weeks. i must stress that this wasnt definate but was from gentles mouth.

as a side note the reason gentle was there is because the team my lads play for - hull wyke - were holding there annual fundraising dinner sunday afternoon in willerby manor hotel. gentle had promised to attend but due to rearranged match couldnt be there. He found out that most people go in star afterwards so he and shaun mcrae popped for a pint and a chat. mark of the man i think
