Don't need to see the contract. It's pretty obvious what the club having an option for another year means.

My understanding of the one year option in the clubs favour is that the club don't have any obligation to give him a second year, but the player can't look elsewhere until the club say they don't want him. Gives us first refusal on him basically.



I may be wrong but that is what I have always thought it meant.
