He's not in the best of form defensively but he's still scored six tries in eight games.

I don't think he's as good as some are making out. The hype and expectation make that worse. He looks to be lacking in confidence a bit as well. None of which is surprising at his age and stage of development but to be the great that many believe he will become he's going to have to deal with these things pretty quickly because the pressure is only going to grow. Hopefully Gentle can get the best out of him.

I completely disagree that he is 'disinterested' I sit in the East and right in front of me the physio asked him 2/3 times last night if he was fit enough to carry on, or if he wanted to go off, and Tom was adament he wanted to carry on and help the team out.

I also think that he isn't as involved in games because our attacking play is now more varied and we use both sides of the pitch to attack. Whereas for the last 4 years our one set move has been top give it to Manu, Yeaman and Briscoe and hope for the best.

He was absolutely smashed onto the deck in a tackle where he was a gnats c0ck from being lifted above the horizontal and it shook him up. Pity some of the people suggesting he is feigning injury couldn't try it out just to see.

I said to my dad teams have been doing us a favour by kicking at Sharp, he is catching everything at the moment. Its one of the weaker parts of Tom's game anyway the high ball and he would have dropped a few, hopefully he can do the same work Sharp has done because its worked for him.



I seem to remember him having a couple of off games at the start of last season, he wasn't bad last night apart from missing the kick. I'm sure Rovers will have seen it and will switch tactics on friday.

In all seriousness this thread is hilarious. The best player to come through in years and years and years is being accused of being disinterested and pretending to be injured when his form has dipped a bit (debatable). All because he dares to be honest about his ambitions.
