| Quote bishops finger="bishops finger"Catalans tired badly? Surprised at that given there used to the conditions.'"
The conditions were freakish and that was from a Toulouse supporter, so that blows the lid on how Catalans should be used to the conditions. Both teams tired badly and not surprising considering how the temperature and humidity was bad enough in the stands never mind on the pitch!
The big difference, though, was playing on a dry and firm surface; bit of a rare commodity over here. You could tell they were used to it and true to CS's claim earlier in the season (that Rovers will be a better team on drier pitches) he was right.

Maybe they're just not fit enough.
Anyway, rovers rode their luck, got the benefit of a dubious VR decision, cats had 4 tries chalked off by the VR and missed 3 conversions so really should have won it but you take whatever comes your way as we did at Manchester and rovers did last night

| Hard to know what we'll do as we are so inconsistent.
one thing is for certain, if we do turn up and lose so limply as we did in the league 2 weeks ago...it will be clear that Gentle isn't the coach we need.

If he can't motivate his players for what will be the biggest game of the season, then he isn't the man to take this club forward.
I like Gentle, and I have seen a lot of positives with what he has done with the first team squad and particularly with the young players who now sit on the fringe of the first team...but at the same time you can't deny that after 1.5years in charge, we are still in the same middle of the road, mid-table going nowhere position we have been in for the last 6 seasons.
He has proven that we can compete with big sides on our day (Wigan at home, Wire away and Leeds at home) but what good is that when your losing to Cas, Widnes, drawing at London etc? The pressure is most definitely on for him to deliver now.

Our structures are miles better than they ever were. Our coach at long last is prepared to drop players based on form. Our coach is prepared to give young players a chance. Hopefully he'll get 2-3 years more to bring the medium/long term turnaround to fruition despite fans like yourself trying to make it harder for him to stay.

Don't be daft - I'm sure that Limpdick would have brought up any questionable decisions in his post match interview if that was the case.

| I can't believe some people, years of giving Agar a chance and they want rid of Gentle when we are vastly improved....

Spot on, we where never going to challenge this year, although we are still in the cup so who knows. I know we always say it but I think we'll see a big improvement next year, especially with all the experience the young lads will have got from this year. Will do them the world of good.

We only need look at the off field stuff, yes AP has spent money, but I am sure PG has been instrumental in where and and what.
We played poorly at Catalans and should have had Castleford put away after 20 minutes, that isn't just down to Gentle, IMHO.

It's the inconsitencey that's the worry.
Our home form is just about holding up which gives us our current position.
Let's be honest, we've been poor in both derbies, poor at Widnes, Catalans and Cas. Solidly beat away at Leeds and Huddersfield. Scraped a draw in London and a point against a very average Saints team and struggled to beat Salford by six if I remember rightly.
We were good at the HJ though.
