I think they are trying and AP said that in his interview.

I enjoy it tbh. Certainly pours cold water on the penny-pinching claimers.

why? Means that this coach is being backed to structure his own team! Gonna be 10minimum out. The kind of shake up needed imo

I think this must have some credence. I can understand the "clearing the decks" argument, but why would Cas want
Carvell and agree to pay the wage? Donny cannot possibly be paying Miller

I guess I am asking how do loans work re salary cap? I thought the old argument was you play one game, full salary counts on the cap?

But it was our current coach that signed Carvell...
I'm starting to think that there's no one at the club above the cleaner's pay scale that knows what they're doing..

Because it means we have an unsettled squad and we are ultimately wasting money on players we don't really need. Successful clubs don't behave in this erratic manner.

| Says on the bbc website that carvell is eligible to play in the cup. A cup win with a 3rd club on the cards?

| Hopefully! Can he play against you lot next month? Big move for carvell a chance to earn a contract. Will link up with lynch huby quite nicely.

Cap and loans depends entirely what's agreed by the two teams. However it's an either or situation (to the best of my knowledge) in that either the loan team agrees to take in his cap space, or he remains on the loaners cap (I'd put money on it generally being tied in to how the callback clause works if I were a guessing man)
The cap rules specifically ban a player counting for less on the cap then they did at the start of the year, so it makes no sense cap wise for a team to negotiate a percentage for the loanee team to pay, as they'd just count for the same amount, even though the club is paying them less ...

At a guess then, we have offloaded Carvell full cap for a month (officially), and we can still pay him some of his wage, as can Cas, but only the amount cas him counts? (on their cap, and our cap is zero?)
None of this makes sense to me, when you count Arundel, Miller, Pitts etc. Something seems wrong

No, if cas only agree to pay some of his wage, or rather hull agree to remain paying [isome[/i of his wage, then he will remain counting for [iall[/i of his cap space. What [icould[/i be the case is that cas have agree to pay his full wage for the first month, taking him off hulls cap completely for a month offering you flexibility, then back onto hulls cap for the remainder of the loan (and thus can be called back at any time.) - this, to the best of my knowledge is how it works...
I seem to recall Radford announcing at the start of the year you were up to the cap, and to sign carvell you had to release a few, which didn't happen, then with Sa, and Colbon it wouldn't surprise me if your struggling to move around the cap without breaking it, the month breather on carvell should give you a bit of manoeuvrability though.
