Floodlighting will be part of the deal, in use they will be on anyway. New LED ones use less juice.

What it actually costs the SMC is less the point than what the SMC charge us for the privilege of using their equipment. IIRC they altered the deal terms to start charging us for putting pictures of Johnny Whiteley on the walls, the direct incremental cost of which to the SMC was probably less than what they charged us?

It obviously doesn't cost a four figure sum, just like it doesn't cost anywhere near the amount the SMC wants to start charging to open up The Dugout for the Disabled Group to meet for one hour every 3 months. They are pulling figures out of thin air and loosing custom for it. If they used a realistic figure then they may actually make a profit because we would use the lights more and the Disabled Group could afford to use the Stadium for meetings.

The Parkers trouble was down to a Hull fan pinching a Salford flag. There was no need for it. The Salford lads were great, just wanted to talk rugby and wish us well, then enter the idiot.

I think they have the same sort of power consumption as standard lamps when run at full brightness (from the initial press releases) but last longer, have better light coverage and have instant on/off. You also don't get the flicker on TV that you get from lamps running at 50Hz.
