You are exactly right, even at pub level a team will have a couple of gobes who lead the team around even on pub crawls, if they are missing then it becomes a headless chicken and they end up on Holderness road |

Thats back to the point before where i firmly believe a combination of Horne, Washy, Berro, Turner, Whiting should all be good enough to give some creativity in attack.

and those being the missing links you believe leaves me to say that you cannot take someone and make them a half back if they have never played there it does not work, hence why Hall isnt at stand off, Yeaman at 2nd row etc etc

Pretty sure he doesn't think that at all. I reckon he wants what all of us do, which is both good rugby and wins. Of the 2 though, he'd prioritise flowing rugby, for both the entertainment value and the fact that we continually see with teams who concentrate on performances, that results tend to follow. |

I know Sheldon, time and injuries must catch up on him too but I am sure you will have seen my point, age does not matter to a degree its physical condition that matters , Whiting picked up massive injuries in his mid twenties .. you know what I mean a player cant control what injuries he gets but age defines the recovery period |

I knew Arthur should have moved Keith Bridges to scrum half after Terry Hudson cleaned Kevin Harkin out at Wembley in '83. He could have done a jobe there.

i know he is a fan as well mate, and i feel like he does to be honest , this week has been tough going so far hasnt it but at 6 games to go to have played ugly and be in the playoffs i am much happier than to have played ugly and been the whipping boys like last year and we are where we are in SL because we are a much tougher unit to break down than last time !!
if we had half backs at all on the park for any length of time we would be in top 2 I am sure of that |
