Well I've just watched it again on the FC website and the ball almost landed on Motu's toe end. Why didn't he just catch it?

Tony wasn't running forward! Broughton hadn't dropped back so tony had to cover his half aswell. Hence why he looked out of position.

Every day of the week. Tony played well other than that mistake.

Just taken a look myself. Whether Tony is out of position or not is open to question - Myler has all the time in the world to take the kick and Tony is indeed covering Broughton's wing as well as his 'own' space.



However, he should have still been able to take that ball on the full. He appears to pull out at the last moment for fear of not quite getting there and knocking on.



Nothing to do with Raynor at all. Definitely Tony's ball and no sign whatsoever that Raynor calls - and I should hope not because he's miles away from where the kick lands.

Agar looks like a man out of his depth looking for any excuse for his own failure. Instead of calculating the combined salaries of the players he has available he should be getting things right on the field

I agree, he was out of position and then when the kick went up he had to much running to do, once he saw Raynor in his eyeline he pulled even though it was never Raynor's ball.
