To my recollection, most of our positional kicks found the ground. I can think of many examples in the second half alone - we forced two forty-twenties, one kick went dead for a 20mtr restart, a kick into the South West corner for a scrum. I can remember a couple going to hand but certainly not most. Where I would agree with you were the bombs - I thought they were terrible and way too easy to field.



In the first half Turner put a couple of great kicks in (even from deep) and of course we had a forty-twenty as well. I think that you and I need to swap glasses for a couple of weeks - you can have my rose-tinted ones and I'll have your half-empty ones

Not so IMO. I thought we bisected the winger and FB quite well, had some that went dead, forced at least 2 goal line dropouts and made a 40/20.

Totally agree Mrs B, our kicking game was good imo considering the conditions, I was impressed with what Turner offered to the kicking game as well.

Quite enjoyed the game considering the conditions. Thought we kicked well on the whole, Turner exceptional at times and looks a real find, who, with a decent run in the team will grow in confidence and take the line on and team forward. Thought Long was quietish when we had the ball, good 40/20 and some decent defence to shore us up, probably prefers the drier grounds. Fitz, does he ever need a breather during the game? O'Meley solid and made his presence felt. Both Whiting and Tansey (had a shaky start) were held the back line together. Good second spell from Radders, Yak had one of his better speels, ran with a bit more grunt and Manu hit hard all night.



The referee? well its all getting to be about them nowadays, not the job you would want but the game will lose bums on seats if thats the standard that Cummings keeps churning out. Its now getting to the stage in the game when its not the teams who dictate who wins but the referee and thats a sad downhill slope were heading on. Surely Cummings position is untenable by now?

You won easily with plenty to spare, never in danger and they only crossed the whitewash with the last touch of the game.

Yep. It was never going to be a high scoring game with the conditions an' all. We looked fairly comfortable throughout - even when they were dominating field position.

Some of them dead but not most of them.
