Always good to have specialists in the team and our starting 13 should be full off them (when Prince signs). I reckon Mcdonnel will compliment our attacking structure perfectly, it's all looking very good for me.

Not the same player I have seen. Everytime I have seen him he looked dodgy under the high ball and was prone to losing it in the tackle.

Still hopefully PG can get the best out of him.

On the face of it seems to be the longest ever "done deal" before finally being announced. But several other supposedly "done deals" fell through because players could not sign deals until September, giving them plenty of opportunities to change their minds before signing the dotted line.



I think having gone back to Australia if a good enough deal had come in the NRL he would probably have taken it, I don't buy the statement on the website of fending off other NRL offers to land his signature, AP even said on Sportstalk that he has found himself at a loose end, so any NRL offers must have been really cr@p. Hopefully we're not paying him anywhere near the rumoured figure.



Anyway personally think we have got a good signing here, he now knows what to expect in the UK and NRL players often get better in their second year over here. Specialist fullback is what we needed and now have, and at 25 is the right age as well.



Welcome aboard Shannon

He had a shocker in the Derby at NCP but other than that looked ok last season if not outstanding, but feel he will go better now that he's adjusted to the UK. And of course he will be working under a better coach who he "knows and respects", I think it's also been mentioned that his Dad and PG are best buddies so he will want to prove himself.

When I saw him last season I thought he looked ok, especially going forward.



I think his signing may have been better received if he had not been at Rovers last year.



At least we will have a specialist full back. Last season after McKinnon left we had Whiting, Horne, Briscoe and McGoldrick all filling in.

Don't forget he was playing in a team which didn't perform very well generally. Has PG been wrong up to now ? NO! We have to give him every bit of support we can, best of luck Shannon and welcome to a team on the up!
