| Quote Man of Kent="Man of Kent"That's why I feel guilty. I guess I should be happy and by and large I'm usually one for seeing the positive but I guess the dross from 2008-2011 has finally ground me down. I was cheering like a wildman in the first half but then the inability to convert opportunities and incompetence of the ref infuriated me - how many times can one man go to the video ref for efforts that have fallen half a yard short? GET ON WITH THE GAME FFS!!!
The sight of Rover fans cheering on that racist thug scoring wound me up and I left at that point. Couldn't do with seeing us throw the game away.
Maybe I shouldn't take it so seriously, I get that, but I guess since I moved up here I've truly tuned into the anti-Rovers hatred. Blimey, I never even used to get this wound up with football derbies!'"
What you did the Wigan walk when we were still winning?. Thats a new one.

I thought Bentham used the VR sensibly TBH. None of the try attempts he referred were 'half a yard' short and bear in mind that from the viewing angle he had it would have been near impossible to see what had happened with any certainty.
Must admit that though I also had a sinking feeling that we were going to lose to a sucker-punch during the second half it never crossed my mind to leave.

| Don't think anyone on here is going too overboard based on one derby win. Yes, Friday was brilliant (always is to beat the old enemy) but we've had too many false dawns over the last eighteen months for anyone to believe that all our problems are magically sorted and it's next stop Old Trafford.
Even the "positive" brigade on this forum will admit that there are some fundamental flaws in the set-up which will not be remedied by a quick fix.
At the start of the season I said that I would enjoy the victories as they came around and I would shrug off the defeats likewise. My doubts about the clubs role in the bigger picture of SL (Genuine Grand Final contenders, a side to be feared and respected) remain, but like the majority on here I'm rather enjoying this weekend and will continue to do so for as long as it lasts .

Agree 100% all the efforts (maybe apart from one) needed a look and after the chances missed I envisaged a Dobson/cok'ed devastating quick couple as you have to take your chances. Thankfully though we came good! Have to admit I didn't see yeamos try cos I was content big willie had driven it into the corner leaving then to start off from a handover right on their try line so sat down then the crowd erupted!

| As much as i enjoyed the derby win, and it was a great win, i still dont think we've turned a corner, lets get real, we beat a very poor Rovers team, a team that was in turmoil leading up to the match, when we win the teams that are up there, the likes of Wire, Leeds,Wigan etc, then ill start to think maybe we are on the up!
As it is now, Agar has a stay of execution on the back of a good derby win, I fully expect normal service tomorrow and the following week!! The joys of being an FC fan!!!

There's a cumulative element to this, isn't there? Wasn't he in trouble whilst in the army? Then the infamous head-kicking incident, now this. Add in the number of high shots he's put in over the years, trips to Red Hall of a Tuesday evening, and incidents like the one fingered salute to us in Cardiff and you can see why people question his integrity. I have to say I do find it surprising that, after all the general nastiness he's displayed on and off the pitch on Rovers' watch, that the majority on the unofficial forum respond with applauding emoticons the view that he's misunderstood and hope he'll be in red and White for many years to come. The particularly ironic overlay is the hysterical bile reserved for Yeaman for a bit of badge-kissing when you are sponsoring - quite literally - a criminal who is again under police investigation.
