Will Sharp - The new Hull FC scapegoat.

Some people need to grasp the concept that Sharp is been left exposed on numerous occasions through no fault of his own. Our right side defence is poor and has been for years, I'm sure if stats were available then it would show our right side leaks the most points and I think we will continue to do so until we sign an out and out right centre instead of playing utility players there.



Imo sharp hasn't done much wrong, sure he has made some poor options but to contemplete dropping him is laughable, you don't hear the shouts for briscoe and whiting who have made poor decisions over the past few weeks.

This has been going on for at least two seasons, we cant play that sliding defence, unfortunately its Sharps turn to be blamed. Against Wigan with a man extra why didn't we play the old fashioned game of mark the man opposite you eg centre marks centre. we have a big pack we don't need to bunch like we do, decent quick half backs with a good pass and we are screwed, needs sorting out on the training pitch.

While we're on the subject of poor efforts on kicks, I seem to remember Whiting getting out-jumped by Rangi (the dwarf) Chase on Friday aswell.

Grounds for termination of contract if ever there was.

Briscoe had one bad game so dont see what the comparison is.. sharps been poor to average all season...i think he should be dropped.



A poor mans blacklock from what iv seen so far...hope he turns it around and proves me wrong but up to now im far from impressed...and im not making him a scapegoat by the way,theres a few that dont deserve to be in that 17 but we dont have the options to replace certain players...id give lynne a chance,reckon he could be a real star for the future.



Like some have said,youth players dont seem to be getting much of a chance these days and if we dont try them wel never find out!!

Do people really feel more comfortable with Lyne on the wing rather than Sharp?

How can you justify asking for someone to be dropped having appeared to have only seen a minutes worth of highlights?



He mis-judged the flight of a kick, knocked it on and was then sent to run behind the entire defensive line, in a race against Chase kicking the ball out there. If he's getting dropped for that then we'd start with about 3 players next week.



We knew when we signed him he is a bit of a loose cannon. He'll make errors but will produce some fine skill and can also guarantee you the work-rate every week. He's not done badly at all so far and as previously mentioned, is close to becoming a scape-goat.
