It isn't the fault of the road, it's the drivers on it.

disagree, the speed limit ranges from 30-60, there are few passing places to get round the numerous pieces of farm machinery going slowly.



some awful junctions (that slip road that joins the road just as the dual carriage way starts being the worst)



people do drive like idiots, even on the best roads, but this vital link to York could and should be a lot better, and the region would attract more investment as a result.

Ive said for the last 8 years that ive been driving to York that if they arent going to invest in the roads at least reduce train fares to be competetive. £20 return per day when i can do it for £7 in diesel.



Train times are also inconvenient. 7am train gets into york for 8am. Too early. 7.30 train gets into york at 9.30 with 2 changes, too late.

I drive from Beverley to Driffield every Morning - I know how long it takes - Most Mornings there is a tractor but I am patient enough to wait my time and not put any bodies life in danger - Oh and by the way - Leave home 8. arrive at work 8.30 never been late yet - DONT BE IN A HURRY

I drive at 59 mph all the way there and back, the 90 minute commute would be nearer to 60-65 mins if it was dual carriageway, i'd rather than 50 mins longer per day at home with the kids.

Why can't they just run more trains to York from Hull ?.

You know as per my earlier point they are over priced and poorly operated. Leeds to York on the otherhand is every 20 mins is right to 2am in the morning. Last train back from York if i go out for a drink after work is 10.03pm.
