Long has not been a good signing but IIRC we signed him when our number one target Orford was stalling on us, so it could have been worse, we could have signed Orford!
We all knew Long was only supposed to be a stop gap for two seasons so the club should have been looking for his replacement as soon as we signed him.

Personally I think the sooner people get this out of their heads the better, hull won't sign a top half we will be beaten to it by the likes of st helens etc and also with the NRL money going up there is even less of a chance of it happening. |
