Much improved performance from Horne last night, worked well with berro.

Why....at he moment he is ordinary.

He has been poor this season but he's done more than enough for this club in the past to deserve at least next season to show he can fully overcome his health and injury problems IMO.



The biggest problem regarding him is indeed what his best position is, to be honest I've got no idea myself!

Horne going to 13 for me is a big no no..!



We have to very good 13's in Washy and Whiting, so play one of them there, don't drop both of them just so we can fit in a player who is playing crap in another position.



I've said for a while now that I'm not too fussed about Horne, as he's not creative enough. Although Longy coming in may help Horney but I can't see it tbh.



Next season for me go with either



6. Horne

7. Long

9. Berro/ Houghton from bench

13. Washy



or

7. Long

9. Lee/ houghton from the bench

He is in the middle of a poor run of form at the moment.



Seems to be taking the wrong options and doing everything half a yard too early.

Thought he had his best game in a few months. Still not a shadow of his former self and may be a hinderence more than a help in the future.

What people are still not realising is that with Agar persisting on not playing a creative loose man it's had a detrimental effect on Horneys game, coupled with his injury and illness this has taken its toll IMO.

When the team as a whole throw the ball around Rich looks a better player simply because he does not have to provide the direction.

The basic game plan that Agar prescribes to makes it easy for other teams to nullify his skills. Add to this, a lack of runners and creative centres.

You only have to look how Wigan are doing with the addition of Gleeson etc and you have a very big clue as to why Rich looks somewhat underdone this season.

He has never been (and never will be) an out and out creative player. But he still has a lot to offer the club and its fans hopefully for years to come.
