its something i've often wondered. he is strong runner and fairly quick one too.



would guess that westerman or whiting will fill in at 2nd row as they have been doing. the problem is that if we move him there and it could be like when Tom Briscoe moved to full back, not knowing fully what he has to do in that position although the full back is a specialist role compared to 2nd row.



think we have enough young prospects who could go there mind but if our injury crisis got to the point where we had Arundel and Crooks fit and need some one to cover the forwards might be worth a shot?

Yeaman is too small to play in the back row and would also mean that we have to either sign another centre to replace him or bring someone through the academy.

So it's a no from me.

Is size an issue to play second row? I know it's important to have attributes such as strength and power and Yeaman has plenty of that. Would do a decent job but prefer him at centre.

Why second row?? Nowadays the SR pass the ball Yeaman doesn't, ask Tom Briscoe for a reference lol

This has come up a lot over the last few years, I still don't get it. Doesn't have the size and would struggle with the workrate ... oh and he's a centre!

His size doesn't come into it IMO 5ft 11, reasonable pace but would need to add 1.5 stone which would slow him down a little in any case.

As others have said, I wouldn't be sure he could hack the work rate but you never know, if the centres are sorted for next season (arundel/Crooks) with a young un coming through (not sure who that would be tbh) it might be a time for everyone all round to think if its worth him doing that for 2014.

If not I can't see us re-signing him after his 2014 extension, well I wouldn't want him if we are to make full use of our left wing...
