FC Supporters club, or an independent one at all?



Reason for asking, i know of a football club that have a rep/insider in the clubthat is in the Supporters Union, that gets info etc and therefore a voice as far as desisions are concerened (to an extent obviously!!)



I know that wouldnt mean jack in where the FC board is concerned, but its a genuine question....

An independent one works well, i help set up one for Shorpe United and its till going strong...



Depends on the attitiudes of people though if it works, if you get me...it was created at the time they (scunny) was looking like relagation favorites, and it helps raise spirits etc...



The club didnt accept us for starters, as there was an official (absolute cock up) one but they eventually saw good and helped us out.



Is it worth a thought maybe?



Just to rouse interest etc too....get the fans etc back behind the club?

We are behind the club....we just want a decent coach.

Im not disputing that at all, as i know a lot of people are, but it would be nice to think that we could get a few more to at least have a bit of faith in the club as a whole too..





Maybe im peeing in the wind with it, not sure, but a gauge of interest more than anything really.

The thing is, supporters association or not, the club makes a big play of being a great communicator with the fans through the fans forums and the 'tell us' email line, call a director etc.



The problem is that the message they have been sending out over the last couple of years is that they are listening but they are ignoring what they are hearing.



I don't see how having a supporters association would do anything to change that situation.

Maybe it could act as something for the fans, away busses etc that kind of thing (im baseing a few things on what we did for the Scunny one..)?



I see where your coming from with the call a Director thing etc though...

HISA was tried again in 2009, ant from what I remember was a resounding success.
