Cartwright not messing about, signed 3 props since he’s been here. Refreshing as previous regime would have plodded on with Fash, Gardiner and Laidlaw most weeks.

Can see the appeal as we still need size up front. But he's not what he was. I'd pass.Wonder if Cartwright has seen enough of our depth options in thr middle already. Knight, Eseh and potentially Watts in a week

Definitely a no for Watts. Left under a cloud, don’t go back. Finally getting rid of the Radford deadwood, don’t need anymore back.

Never go back as they say. Watts is a shadow of the player that left us and his fitness from the watching Cas’ last 3 games looks very questionable. Had we used the quota spot to sign a quality back rower, I may have been swayed or at least understand some logic in entertaining the possibility of Watts in the interim but with Knight along Eseh on loan don’t see any reason to even contemplate Watts.

| As others have mentioned I would be against Watts coming until the end of the year, if we didn't sign Knight and could use that quota spot for a backrower or centre. Unless the plan is to play Fash and Watts in the backrow.

Sorry to be in the minority but I'd take Watts until the end of the season. If he's agreed a release with Cas then there may have been a pay off of some kind involved, in which case we may be able to pick him up a bit cheaper. Also taking him for the rest of the year doesn't guarantee that he's a starter every week. I'd gladly take him, and let him know at the point of negotiating a deal, that he may sit in the reserves most of the season, but I'd rather if injuries bite we had the option to put him in rather than Fash or Gardiner.Fully understand everybody's reasons for not wanting him and I do agree to a point. He can be disruptive, fitness might be questionable and he's not getting any younger. But now we have Eseh and Knight (supposedly) we arguably have time to let him get fit over the next month or so. If we could get him on a cheap wage and to act more of a back up than regular starter, then I wouldn't be against it.
