| Quote Tricky2309="Tricky2309"Sorry to sound like a broken record but if the foxy bingo deal is still on, then this would be an easy way of fans helping generate funds for an extra 10 quid.
Say we have c6000 fans including walk ups, I bet less than 1000 will have signed up to the deal so far. Consequently, if the other 5000 did then that would be 250k towards the 400k target
I am willing and perhaps fortunate financially in being able to do the share thing if the ST can get the assurances required and it is an option the club will entertain, but this is one thing that every fan not already signed up could do'"
We will raise the issue of Foxy Bingo with them.
Having met Mr Carter he is the chalk to Mr Glovers cheese! A genuine bloke, no frills, honest and un-assuming. We are in good hands!

Don't know him but I hear just the same things said, a breath of fresh air.
He can't do it without us so let's get behind him now.

Your point re: Foxy Bingo is well made. I hate Bingo but signed up, spent my stake and have never been on since. So its not about whether you like Bingo at all, its about spending £10 to earn the club £50 and we need more to sign up.
We are trying to broker a share issue on the lines of 400 people acquiring £1,000 of shares and I believe MC will seriously consider this. We also have an idea that will enable those not fortunate to have £1,000 to invest to own a stake in the Club.
Michael seems a very honest and open guy and as TRB has said we are in good and I believe safe hands. He was honest enough to say the next few months are going to be particularly difficult and without investment further players will have to be sold which with 2014 being so crucial is the last thing we need.
I believe that we the supporters of this Club have a great opportunity to invest in the Club, secure its future and own a stake in it. Don't like straplines but we the supporters can save this Club and secure its long term future which with Newmarket on the horizon could be very bright indeed.

The other guy is the one, he will just not let his heart rule his head.
I think we may at last have got two people who can do this thing honestly and openly.

This is the way,to stop any further sales, and give the lifeblood of this club the supporters a voice.

As i've mentioned in another thread, we had the biggest take up of the Foxy Bingo deal of any club. The fans have done plenty already and to keep expecting the same people to spend, spend spend is unrealistic. Supporters are already spending what they can over the course of the year and for the amount of fans we have turnover is pretty good. If I could make one suggestion to the club is get the new shirts sorted and on sale asap as that is a money spinner. If we can afford it and have a manufacturer who will do it of course.
I like what Carter said but I doubt he'll be chairman for a long time, just whilst the ship steadies. We need to find a real money man to take us forward otherwise in we will be in the backwaters of the championship for us for many years to come, whether theres a supporters trust member on the board or not.

| 400 share blocks of £1000.00 would be a great success if sold and would fill the void, however, this would seem to be aimed at businesses rather than maybe the 50 to 100 supporters who would take this offer up.
With a "Rights Issue", making the shares number up to 1 million and increasing the control shares for Carter/Glover whoever, pro rata, would mean that smaller tranches could be purchased by supporters, i.e. £100.00 blocks.
I don't think we are in a position to exclude any financial input. This is probably last chance saloon for us and everyone's money should be welcome. If the £100.00 blocks could be purchased via the supporters trust in an allocation to them, cumulatively, this could be part of the ST involvement with the club directors.
Sorry, hope that makes sense, just trying think of ways of quick funding and avoiding player drain.
P.S. Keep the British lads, shed overseas stars next for me!

| The bingo idea is fantastic, but the problem is a lot of people won't do it as your having to put your bank details online. 2 season ticket holders at work won't do it for this very reason even though I've told them time and time again that its safe.

Not a bad idea but the problem, and I'm not one to put a problem in the way of a solution, is that the Supporters Trust is truly democratic in so much as everyone who joins the Trust receives a £1 share and its constitution is "one man(or woman)/one vote". If we could offer membership of the Trust at say £25 and get 2,000 members, that's £50,000 which would enable the Trust to acquire 50 shares (or whatever it could raise) and then Supporters would own a little bit of the Club because the Trust is owned by its Members if I'm making sense.
